| Biography |
Eddie and Becky Trimble have served in the Philippine Islands since 1993 on the southernmost island of Mindanao. After studying the Cebuano language in Butuan City for the first year, they moved to the town of Tagoloan to start a work. Their first ministry was organized into a church in 1995; then in July 2001 it was turned over to a national pastor. The church now has a Bible college and institute. In 2001 the Trimbles, along with missionary Bruce Rice and his family, moved to another city on the island of Mindanao called Dipolog City. A Bible study was started the first year in a rented house. The Bible study was then organized into Westside Baptist Church in the year 2002. Since then, property has been purchased for the church and a house has been renovated for an auditorium. This year Westside Baptist Institute of Ministry was started for college students and church members. A new building, still under construction, is being built for dorms, classrooms, a library, and offices. The Trimbles have five children: Timothy, Stephen, Mark, Melanie and Benjamin. |
